Highland County Auditor Alex Butler announces improved website
On Jan. 1, 2026, the public will have a new and improved County Auditor's website.
The improved website will leverage the latest technologies to be more functional on mobile devices. It will have a new modern look that is visually pleasing, improved mapping technology with updated imagery, and it has the capability to be updated more frequently to reflect the latest property and tax data.
“Our website is visited thousands of times each month by taxpayers,” Highland County Auditor Alex Butler said. “I am confident the public will be pleased by the new features. I am most excited about the detailed property tax breakdown for each property that will be displayed by a pie chart. Not only will you be able to see how many of your tax dollars go to your school district, for example, but you will see a further breakdown of how many dollars go to a particular levy. This is a win for transparency.
“Additionally, there will be a property tax estimator and all forms posted will be fillable PDFs. In regard to mapping, users will be able to apply multiple layers to our updated imagery to show appraised value, recent sales data and other relevant property information."
The domain name will remain https://highlandcountyauditor.org.
