Highland County Board of DD, Press Release

The Highland and Fayette County Board of DD is under the direction of a new superintendent as of Jan. 1, 2024. Previous superintendent Debra Buccilla announced her retirement after dedicating nearly 40 years of work to the field of developmental disabilities.

Larry Gray has been named as the successor superintendent. Gray previously worked for both county boards and has extensive experience in several areas specific to county board service and operations. His knowledge in these areas as well as his familiarity and work history in both Highland and Fayette counties will serve him well in his new role.

Gray worked for over 30 years at ABX Air prior to coming to the county boards. Most recently, he was the Executive Director of the Fayette/Highland Metropolitan Housing Authority before returning to the county boards to serve as superintendent.

Gray stated that he is honored to have been selected as the next superintendent for Highland and Fayette County Boards of DD and is looking forward to working with both boards in 2024.
