Hillsboro woman sentenced to community control for unauthorized use of motor vehicle

A Hillsboro woman has been sentenced to community control after pleading guilty to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Pamela S. Lambuth, 38, of Hillsboro was indicted on the fifth-degree felony charge in May. The indictment is alleged that in February and March of this year, Lambuth “did knowingly use or operate” a vehicle without the owner’s consent “and kept possession of the motor vehicle for more than 48 hours.”

According to a bill of particulars, the victim allowed Lambuth to use the vehicle on or about Feb. 7, “with instructions for Lambuth to return the vehicle on Feb. 8.” The victim reported that the vehicle “had still not been returned and that Lambuth had blocked [the victim] from calling” as of March 9.

“Within days” of law enforcement taking the victim’s report, the vehicle “was dropped off with new damage at a location in Kettering,” the bill of particulars says.

Lambuth pleaded guilty to the charge Aug. 24. She was sentenced by Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss to three years of community control and ordered to successfully complete a recommended treatment program.
