Senate President Rob McColley announces appointment of Jane Timken as new Senator for 29th District

Ohio Senate President Rob McColley announced that Jane Timken has been selected to become the new Senator for the 29th District, that represents the Canton area and most of Stark County.
The appointment to the Senate will cover the remainder of the unexpired term of late Senator Kirk Schuring, who served the area for more than 30 years.
"Jane has big shoes to fill replacing the legendary Kirk Schuring, but I have no doubt that she will be a fantastic senator for the 29th District," said Senate President Rob McColley. "Jane Timken is a proven conservative who brings a unique skillset of economic development, public policy and politics to the Senate. I'm confident she will be an outstanding advocate for all Ohioans."
"I'm incredibly honored to represent Stark County and the 29th District, and to follow in the footsteps and legacy of accomplishments left by my good friend Kirk Schuring," said Timken.
Timken is a native Ohioan, former Chair of The Ohio Republican Party, former Vice-Chair of the Stark County Republican Party and is a Republican National Committeewoman.
Timken will be elected to the position by the Republican members of the Ohio Senate at its next session on Wednesday, Jan. 29.
