Ohio Liquor goes Irish, unveils Irish Cask and Craft Collection
Ohio Liquor (OHLQ) announces a first-of-its-kind collaboration with Ireland’s Bord Bia agency to bring the largest-ever collection of Irish whiskey and gin to the heartland.
Available starting this week at more than 130 select OHLQ locations, the Irish Cask and Craft Collection features an exclusive lineup including single-cask, limited production, and new-to-Ohio spirits from over 20 distinguished Irish distilleries.
Kickoff events to celebrate the introduction of these products took place this past weekend in Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus.
The Irish Cask and Craft Collection is a testament to OHLQ's commitment to pursuing the most sought-after liquor products, for which markets across the country and around the world compete due to a very limited supply. The Irish Cask and Craft Collection represents a significant addition regarding the offerings available to Ohioans.
To mark this special occasion, and to reflect the innovation surrounding the introduction of this unique collection, shoppers may notice a new Ohio Liquor logo – O’hio Liquor, capturing the essence of the Irish influence in a playful nod to the Emerald Isle. “O’hio Liquor has gone Irish!”
OHLQ encourages all spirits enthusiasts, and those new to the category, to visit www.OHLQ.com for more information on these new product releases, including details on where to find these rare Irish spirits.
Join OHLQ and raise a glass, responsibly, to the rich traditions and exceptional craftsmanship that Ireland is bringing to O’hio. Sláinte!
OHLQ is a partnership between the Ohio Department of Commerce’s Division of Liquor Control and JobsOhio Beverage System (JOBS), formed to use the profits from the sale of high-proof liquor in Ohio to fund job creation and bring new capital investment to the state. The Division selects and prices products and manages the sale of liquor in Ohio. JOBS supplies the products to OHLQ locations and owns the profits from the sale of all high-proof liquor in the state. JOBS uses these profits — not taxes — to provide stable and dedicated funding for JobsOhio, a private nonprofit corporation dedicated to Ohio’s economic development. Privately owned OHLQ locations (sometimes referred to as Contract or State Liquor Agencies) contract with OHLQ to sell high-proof liquor on consignment.
