ODOT District 9 releases weekly Highland County construction update

The following ODOT construction projects are anticipated to impact traffic in Highland County.

State Route 138
SR 138 Culvert Replacement —  Beginning June 3, SR 138 will be closed between Ruble Lane and Hereford Road. The detour is SR 138 to SR 134 to SR 131 to SR 138. Estimated completion: June 5.

State Route 134
SR 134 Culvert Replacement —  Beginning June 8, SR 134 will be closed between Starr Road and SR 321. The detour is SR 134 to SR 321 to U.S. 62 to SR 32 to SR 134. Estimated completion: June 18.

State Route 73
SR 73 Bridge Replacement — SR 73 is reduced to one lane between Line Road and Mad River Road. Traffic is being maintained by a temporary signal. Estimated completion: fall 2026.

SR 73 Intersection Changes — The intersection of State Route 73 and Prospect Road has been converted from a two-way stop to an all-way stop as of May 1, 2026.

SR 73 Bridge Replacement — SR 73 is reduced to one lane between SR 785 and Flat Run Road. Traffic is being maintained by a temporary signal. Estimated completion: fall 2026.

State Route 753
SR 753 Bridge Repair —  SR 753 is closed between Snake Road and Paint Creek Road. The detour is SR 41 to U.S. 50 to SR 28 to SR 753. Estimated completion: fall 2026.
