A Greenfield woman indicted on four lower-level charges in connection with a Highland County Task Force investigation has been sentenced to community control for drug trafficking.

Christina Jenkins, 57, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in November on two counts of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and two counts of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, all fifth-degree felonies. The indictment was initially sealed.

According to court records, Jenkins pleaded guilty to one count of trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound, with the remaining three charges dismissed, in January.

For that charge, a bill of particulars alleges that on or about Jan. 23, a confidential informant working with the Task Force purchased drugs from Jenkins. The bag was tested by BCI and determined to contain a fentanyl-related compound.

During a sentencing hearing Feb. 14, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Jenkins to three years of community control. She was also ordered to pay $240 in restitution to the Highland County Task Force and to successfully complete a treatment program.
