Greenfield man sentenced on meth possession charge
A Greenfield man indicted in connection with a Highland County Task Force investigation was sentenced to community control recently on a meth possession charge.
Michael Kingsolver, 23, was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in February on one count of aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony. He pleaded guilty to the charge May 1.
As previously reported, Kingsolver’s co-defendant, Tammy Miller, 61, was also sentenced to community control May 1, on a trafficking charge.
According to a bill of particulars, Kingsolver was a passenger in Miller’s vehicle on or about Dec. 15, when members of the Highland County Task Force observed Miller traveling to Dayton and returning to Greenfield, believing she was going to the city to purchase meth.
The bill of particulars alleged that Kingsolver “elected to hold on to the meth for the drive home from Dayton,” then “attempted to get rid of or hide the meth.” A baggie recovered by police officers was found to contain 13.92 grams of methamphetamine.
During the hearing May 1, Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Kingsolver to three years of community control.
Coss additionally sentenced Kingsolver to three years of community control and 30 days in jail in an unrelated case stemming from 2021, in which Kingsolver had previously been placed in the prosecutor’s diversion program. That case involved a fourth-degree felony charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
