Bainbridge man sentenced in Highland County drug possession case
A Bainbridge man was sentenced to a year prison recently after pleading guilty to a drug possession charge in Highland County.
As previously reported, Joseph Rackley, 46, of Bainbridge was indicted by a Highland County grand jury in September 2025 and was charged with aggravated possession of methamphetamine, a third-degree felony.
The indictment alleged that on or about April 26, 2025, Rackley “knowingly obtained, possessed or used” meth “in an amount that equals or exceeds bulk amount but less than five times bulk amount.”
According to court records, Rackley was not arrested on the indictment for almost a year, as he was served Aug. 30, 2026. He then pleaded guilty a month later, on Sept. 30.
Highland County Common Pleas Court Judge Rocky Coss sentenced Rackley to 12 months in prison. Rackley had 31 days of jail time credit.
