More calls come from Republicans for Miller to resign

A second U.S. senator from Ohio has joined the calls for an incumbent Congressman in the state to step down following domestic abuse allegations.
On Thursday, U.S. Sen Jon Husted, an Ohio Republican, issued a call for Republican U.S. Rep. Max Miller to give up his seat.
“Anyone who commits domestic violence is not fit to serve in Congress,” Husted wrote on X. “The House Ethics Committee should thoroughly investigate any credible allegations, and any member found to have committed domestic violence should resign from Congress immediately.”
Miller is the former son-in-law of Ohio’s other Republican U.S Senator, Bernie Moreno, who earlier called for Miller’s resignation over concerns for the safety of his senator’s daughter and granddaughter.
Miller has refused to resign, and this week filed a request with the U.S. House Ethics Committee to investigate the allegations, which the congressman denies.
Meanwhile, the Ohio director of the conservative group Americans for Prosperity Ohio, has also called for Miller to step down.
“Too many Republicans are afraid to call Max Miller what he is: Unfit for office,”
Donovan O'Neil wrote on X. “We were willing just four short weeks ago to call out Graham Platner – and lambast (appropriately so) our Democrat colleagues who only did so once the blessing was granted by party bosses. We should be just as willing to call out Max Miller and exorcise our own demons from the GOP.“
President Trump has not called for Miller to step down.
Republicans hold a thin majority in the U.S. House. Miller is an incumbent seeking re-election, considered by some Republicans as a safer bet to win in November than a last-minute replacement candidate.
An ex-girlfriend of Miller, a former White House staff member in Trump’s first administration, sued Miller for alleged abuse and recently filed a restraining order against the Miller.

Don't come to Ohio and ruin our representatives, more than they already are. We finally got the socialist democrats out of office in Ohio. Don't sabotage our hard-fought and well-earned progress.
A Little Late Jon?
Too late Jon. Last minute decision looks bad. If Miller wins, it shows indecisiveness on your part. Not what Ohio citizens deserve. Sure many women voters are going to vote against "Mad" Max. The Investigation could eventually take you out later. The ex girlfriend restraining order is strike two if the voters are keeping score. The pediatric collar bone story may well be strike 3.
