Xavier University Athletics has announced the 2023-24 men's basketball non-conference regular-season schedule, which opens with a Nov. 6 date against Robert Morris. There will be no public exhibition games this season, only a pair of closed scrimmages.

The 11-game regular season slate includes eight home games at Cintas Center highlighted by a Friday, Dec. 1 game against Houston, a 2023 NCAA Sweet 16 team, in the BIG EAST/Big 12 Battle and the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against Cincinnati on Saturday, Dec. 9. There are three Friday games and two Saturday games on the eight-game non-conference home schedule.

Xavier's possible non-conference opponents include five teams that made 2023 postseason NCAA or NIT play. In addition to Houston (NCAA) and UC (NIT), Xavier visits Purdue (NCAA) on Monday, Nov. 13 for a Gavitt Tipoff Games matchup and could face 2023 NCAA runner-up San Diego State or 2023 NCAA Second Round team St. Mary's in the Continental Tire Main Event in Las Vegas in November.

The tough non-conference tests will help XU prepare for 12 BIG EAST regular season games against teams that made 2023 postseason play, including home-and-away tilts against UConn (NCAA Champion), Creighton (NCAA Elite Eight), Marquette (NCAA Second Round), Providence (NCAA), Villanova (NIT) and Seton Hall (NIT).
