Sosby named game MVP in South Carolina

Kiley Sosby, a Whiteoak High School sophomore, recently competed in the Queen of Diamonds Showcase South on the campus of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, S.C.
Sosby was named game MVP for pitching a no-hitter while striking out nine batters and allowing only one base runner (a walk) in her second game of the event. She was one of 264 athletes selected out of over 2,000 applicants to compete in this college showcase softball tournament that took place on Aug. 25-26.

Sosby was participating with other players from her Cup 2013 team that will travel to the Netherlands in January to compete against ten national teams from Europe. Sosby plays select summer ball with the Ohio Lasers Blue college exposure team based out of Grove City.
