SHL Golf Tournament Day 3: Mustangs move into first place

The Lynchburg-Clay Mustang golf team moved into first place in the Southern Hills League golf tournament, posting a team score of 180 and in the process erasing a nine-stroke lead by North Adams Tuesday at the White Oak Golf Course.
LC's performance on the 65-degree day moved them even more ahead of West Union.
The Top 15 golfers in the league earn All-SHL honors with Lynchburg-Clay currently holding four of those spots with one more day of competition to go. The final day of the tournament will be on Thursday at Hilltop Golf Course in Manchester.
As for Tuesday's round of the SHL tournament, the Mustangs moved into the top spot with a three-day total of 518, followed by West Union in second at 522 and North Adams in third at 527. Whiteoak is fourth at 551, followed by Ripley (561), Eastern Brown (582), Peebles (588) and Fairfield (627). Manchester doesn't total an overall team score.
LC's scores on Tuesday (Sept. 18) were: Zach Blankenship and Marc Blankenship at 43 each, followed by Tristan Wilbanks (46), Ryan Inman (49) and Linus Stoltz (50).
Medalist for the Day 3 was Kade Miller of West Union at 40.
Whiteoak Day 3 scores included: Blake Trublood (44), Nick Wardlow (44), Luke Taggert (45), Graham Douglas (56) and Kyle Marler (73).
The Fairfield scores for Day 3 included: Dustin Gebhart (51), Brant Huff (54), Zach Schuler (55), Brad Bumgarner (61) and Robert Fisher (71).
Other individual scores included:
Eastern Brown — Austin Williams (46), Lane Lynch (46), Grant McIntosh (55), Megan Staggs (57) and Brett Fisher (WD).
Manchester — Marshall Spencer (48), Tyler Brummett (48) and Brandon Gaffin (61)
