Lady 'Cats fall at North Adams

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats began this week with a loss, falling to the North Adams Lady Green Devils 63-20, Monday evening at NAHS.
The game between the two Southern Hills Athletic League rivals saw seven WHS players score in the game.
WHS was led by Amber Gorman and Emily Stratton with four points each. Gorman also added six rebounds, while Stratton had one steal and one blocked shot.
Brittany Luman and Emma Wardlow each scored three points as Luman added five rebounds and one block. Wardlow totaled three rebounds and one steal.

Scoring two points each were Courtney Cummings, Clarissa Johnson and Morgan Campbell. Cummings collected one rebound, one assist and two steals. Johnson finished with six rebounds, and Campbell tallied two rebounds and one steal.
Sunnie Lehr had two rebounds in the loss.
WHS totaled 31 rebounds on the night (nine offensive), while adding two assists and five steals. The Lady 'Cats committed 27 turnovers and 13 fouls.
The loss sends WHS to an overall mark of 1-4 overall (0-2 in the SHAC), as they've dropped their past four games.
Through their first five games, Wardlow leads WHS with 8.6 points per game. Gorman and Cummings each are averaging nearly six rebounds per game. Luman leads WHS with five blocked shots this season, while Wardlow and Stratton each have 10 steals.
The Lady 'Cats will play again on Thursday in the Highland County Shootout at Hillsboro High School where they will face the McClain Lady Tigers at 6 p.m.
