Village of Leesburg holds dedication ceremony for new signs

If you have driven through Leesburg recently, you may have observed the new welcome signs in place on SR 28, US 62 and SR 771. The Village held a sign dedication ceremony recently with area partners.
In early 2022, the Village of Leesburg approached then-superintendent Tim Dettwiller about a new sign which would acknowledge all Fairfield Local students who were successful in earning state honors, and he agreed to help with the plans.
After contacting Abbott Image Solutions, a design was selected, and plans were made to contact local businesses about assisting in the cost in exchange for space on the sign with their information. Those who graciously agreed to help sponsor the project included Candle-lite, Fairfield Local Schools, Midmark, Southern Hills Community Bank, Southern Ohio RetroFoam and Square One.
