The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) announced in February that Fireman First Class (F1c) Walter F. Schleiter, 22, of Massillon, Ohio, killed during World War II, was accounted for on May 18, 2018.
Jonathan L. Stinnett, 37, of Massillon, Ohio, was sentenced recently 30 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Benita Y. Pearson after he pleaded guilty to kidnapping a 5-year-old child and possessing child pornography. Once released from prison, Stinnett will be under court supervision for life.
