SSU’s Jeff Hamilton appointed Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations

Shawnee State University’s Office of the President has announced Jeff Hamilton will serve as the university’s Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations beginning July 1.

“This is a critical position for the university as we seek partnerships and external funding for key projects and initiatives,” Eric Braun, SSU’s Vice President for Advancement & Enrollment Management and incoming Interim President beginning July 1, 2023, said.

Hamilton brings more than 20 years of relationship-building and institutional knowledge to this role. As Athletic Director since 2008, he has grown the program to include 22 competitive collegiate varsity teams that consistently excel in their fields, as well as celebrated national championship titles for men’s basketball, esports and indoor track & field in recent years.

“This is an exciting challenge, and I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in my career at Shawnee State,” said Hamilton. “I have been very fortunate to work with so many great people at SSU. Working with our Alumni, Foundation and Advisory Boards will be a great opportunity to continue creating connections with the people who make our university so successful. My goal is to help prepare Shawnee State University for its future in higher education.”

In his role, Hamilton will be a key asset to strengthen relationships with area businesses, private foundations and alumni, advisory, and volunteer boards.

He earned his master’s degree from Ohio University and undergraduate degree from the College of Wooster.
