For the second time in his Wilmington College career, Quakers senior infielder Evan Kelsey has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Baseball Athlete of the Week.

He was honored for the first time on March 7, 2022. Wilmington's last player to earn athlete of the week honors was Aaron Bolster last season on May 1, 2023.

Kelsey (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) had a great series to start his 2024 campaign as the Quakers played in Danville, Ky. against the Centre College Colonels. He went 4-10 during the three-game series, including a three-hit game during the first contest of the Quakers doubleheader.

To go along with his hits, he had a pair of RBI, while also drawing a pair of walks. In the field, Kelsey had nine assists, recorded six putouts and was a part of two double plays.

The Quakers are back on the field this weekend in Demorest, Ga. for a three-game weekend, hosted at Piedmont University, that includes a pair of neutral site contests. Their first game is Friday afternoon at noon against Hanover College.
