MT. STERLING -  The Madison-Plains Golden Eagles swooped in and stole the show Friday night during their homecoming, as a late interception, mixed with a failed extra point kick led to a one-point, 7-6 win over the McClain Tigers at Madison-Plains High School.

In a game where all but 13 plays were on the ground, the Golden Eagles scored first with just .50 seconds left in the third quarter when Jake Allen busted his way for a 2-yard touchdown run. The extra point put the Golden Eagles in the lead at 7-0.
