Tigers held hitless at Blanchester

BLANCHESTER — The McClain Tigers were held hitless Thursday against the Blanchester Wildcats, falling 4-0 at BHS.  

Blanchester's Bobby Runyon went the distance, allowing no hits while walking six MHS  batters and striking out five.  

The Tigers' lone scoring threat came in the first inning when they stranded runners on second and third with one out.

Ryan Case picked up his first loss on the season for MHS. Case pitched four innings, striking out two, while giving up two unearned runs.  

Zach Uhl came in on relief, also giving up two unearned runs.  

The Tigers committed four errors on the day.

MHS (1-0, 4-3) travel to Washington Court House tomorrow for a 5 p.m. game against the Blue Lions.
