The Southern State Community College Patriots continue to be ranked in the Top 10 in the nation in men's soccer.
According to Head Coach Josh Thoroman, the Patriots have been ranked eighth in the nation for two weeks in a row. This ranking is among all colleges competing in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
"We should move up in the rankings this week and hold our spot next week," Thoroman predicted. "The significance of this achievement is that the top eight teams make the national tournament. It will be held in Vermont on Nov. 5-7."
The Patriots are 9-1-1, 2-0-0 in the Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC). Last season, the soccer team won the only conference championship that Southern State has ever won, in any sport, in the history of the college
"We are planning on delivering another OCAC championship in 2010," Thoroman says.
