SSCC Patriot Center site of OCAC basketball tournament

The Ohio Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s and women’s conference tournament will be held Feb. 17-19 at the Patriot Center on Southern State Community College’s Central Campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro.
According to a news release from the college, men’s tournament action will begin 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, as SSCC goes up against Clark State Community College. On Friday, Feb. 18, Temple Baptist College will play Ohio Christian University at 12:30 p.m., and the University of Cincinnati Clermont will take on the winner of Thursday’s game.
The championship game will be played 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19.
The men are led by head coach Greg Himes with assistance from Josh Hawk. Representing the Southern State Patriots will be sophomores Jeremy Bennington, Ross Daniel and Tyler Jimison, along with freshmen Clint Boring, Anthony Parker, Ryan Beasley, Cody Davidson, Derrick Jolley, John Mineer and Andrew Roades.
Women’s tournament action will start off Friday, Feb. 18, with SSCC vs. Ohio Christian University at 2:30 p.m., and the University of Cincinnati Clermont vs. Clark State Community College at 5 p.m.
The championship game will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 19.
The women’s team is led by head coach Glenn Burns with assistance from Tara Pendall.
Representing Southern State will be sophomores Caitlin Davis, Jessica Sexton and Skye Lucas, along with freshmen Breanna Knauff, Jackie Fannin and Emily Hoop.[[In-content Ad]]
