Red Raiders top Tigers in five innings

LONDON - The McClain Tigers struggled from the plate Wednesday evening in South Central Ohio League play. MHS rounded up one inning of offense in a five-inning 12-1 loss against the London Red Raiders.
LHS (2-1, 4-2) scored their runs in the first four innings.
The Red Raiders started the game with a four-run first, followed by innings of three runs each in the second and third. In the bottom of the fourth, LHS tacked on two runs.
McClain (0-2, 2-4) scored their only run and offense of the SCOL contest in the top of the second.
Zack Uhl reached on a double, advancing to third on a ground out by Dustin Taylor. Caleb Gregory blasted a triple for the RBI, scoring Uhl.
Jacob Dillon was charged with the loss. Dillon (1-1) allowed just four hits and two walks, but seven of the London runs came while he was on the hill. Just one of the LHS runs in Dillon's one inning on the mound was earned.
Defensively, the Tigers committed four errors.
LHS finished with nine hits and no errors in their four innings at the plate.
The loss drops MHS to 0-2 in the SCOL and 2-4 overall.
