DODSONVILLE – The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs and Fayetteville Rockets battled to a scoreless tie Friday at Lynchburg-Clay High School, in Southern Hills League play.
LC keeper Colin Creek and Fayetteville’s Tyler Gambrel played 70 minutes at goal.
The tie gives the Mustangs an overall mark of 5-1-3 overall, 2-1-1 in SHL action.
“It was a great struggle for both teams to score with the rain and wet field,” Lynchburg-Clay coach Dennis West said. “The weather slowed both offenses.”
The Mustangs play again this coming Friday as they travel to Leesburg to take on county and league opponent Fairfield.
