McClain JV wrestling team battles in WCH tournament

WASHINGTON C.H. — The McClain JV wrestling squad competed in the Washington Court House Reserve Wrestling Tournament on Jan. 7.

The Tigers had three placers in the 12-team tournament, with freshman Brendon Goble leading the way with a third-place finish and a 3-1 record on the day in the 182-pound division.  

Richie Rayburn (160) and Dylan Trefz (285) both went 2-2, finishing in fourth place.  

Also competing for the Tigers were James Lain (145), Bobby Coil (220) and Dylan Wheaton (285).

Up next for the JV squad is a league tri-match with Madison-Plains and host Clinton-Massie on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. The varsity and junior high squads will also be competing that night.
