Lions race to 3rd place finish

CHILLICOTHE — The Fairfield High School Cross Country boys finished third of 15 teams at the Aaron Reed Memorial Invitational at Southeastern High School in Chillicothe. 

The meet was won by Paint Valley with Westfall placing second and McClain in fourth.

Scoring for Fairfield were Michael Mangus, third place, with a time of 17:02. Blake Hildebrant was 12th with a time of 18:31 and John Cain finished in 24th with a time of 19:25.

Wyatt Crothers rance the course for a 27th with a time of 19:36. He was followed by Elijah Carmean, 53rd with a time of 21:12. 

Other top finishers for the FHS team included: Tanner Ayres, Bradley Clay, Gage Montgomery and Tyler Sims. 

Heather Cox was the only female high school runner to represent Fairfield. She completed the course in 24:12.[[In-content Ad]]
