Lions CC win 1st district title

The Fairfield boys cross country team placed first at the Southeast District Cross-Country Championships Saturday at the University of Rio Grande.  

The team is advancing to the Regional Championships to be held on Oct. 29 at Pickerington North High School.
 
This is the second consecutive year the team has qualified for Regionals.  

Scoring for Fairfield were Michael Mangus with a 2nd place finish at 17:08. Blake Hildebrant finished in 3rd with a time of 17:31. The third Lion in the Top 10 was John Cain in 9th with a time of 18:50.

Wyatt Crothers finished in 14th with a time of 19:03, and Dustin Willey was 17th with a time of 19:12.  

Brant Huff placed 32nd with time of 20:30, and Matthew Leach placed 39th with a time of 20:51.  

Named to the Southeast District Cross Country Team were Michael Mangus, Blake Hildebrant, John Cain and Wyatt Crothers.
