LC volleyball spikes Ripley in three games

        RIPLEY — It took just three sets for the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs' volleyball team to clinch  their second straight win in as many days, Tuesday night, sweeping the Ripley Lady Blue Jays in three games for the Southern Hills League win.
      LC won by scores of 26-24, 25-20 and 25-16.
      The win lifts LC to an overall record of 3-1.
      LC senior Hannah Blankenship led the Lady Mustangs with 16 points on serve.
      Magan Stegbauer, a senior, had four blocks and 10 kills leading LC in those two categories.
      Elizabeth Spidel led LC in assists.
      The Lady Mustangs will play again on Thursday as they will host West Union.
      The LC Lady Mustangs JV team also were winners Tuesday, defeating the Lady Blue Jays.[[In-content Ad]]
