Lady Lions force 5 sets; fall to East Clinton

LEES CREEK — The Fairfield Lady Lions battled back from down two sets to tie their non-league match with the East Clinton Lady Astros, Monday evening. But in the end, EC was just too much, but not by much, as they defeated the Lady Lions in five sets for the match win.
Scores for the match were 25-13 and 25-19, Lady Astros. FHS came back with the next two sets at 25-13 and 25-15, tying the match at two sets each.
The final tie-breaking set went to EC by a score of 15-13.
"The girls all played very well and very steady," FHS coach Mary Beth Hodson said. "I have an all-around strong team. The girls played very well, and I am proud of the effort."
Fairfield will go to Manchester Tuesday night and host the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs on Wednesday.[[In-content Ad]]
