The Hillsboro Lady Indians gained their fifth win of the season Tuesday night. HHS held off a strong seventh inning surge by Fayetteville, forcing the Lady Rockets to delay their launch into the lead as HHS were winners 8-6 at Alice Cassner Field.

In its half of the fifth Hillsboro tacked on three final runs.
Deatley forced a walk to start the HHS half of the inning. Sexton came back with a double and Williams walked. After the first out, Paij Shelton hit a sacrifice fly to score Deatley. Ray walked in Sexton and Storer grounded out to first, scoring Williams.
"The kids are starting to play good ball," HHS head coach Krista George said. "Against Miami Trace we had no errors and (Tuesday) we only committed one, so I am pleased with how we are starting to play in the infield."
Fayetteville scored one run in its half of the fifth and five in the seventh inning.
HHS now stands at 5-16 overall, with an SCOL mark of 1-10.
