EBER — From the middle of the first half until the final second ticked off the clock, the Hillsboro Lady Indians didn't need to worry.
With four first-half goals, along with seven goals in the second half, the Lady Indians kept their second place standing in the South Central Ohio League, with a dominating 11-0 win over host Miami Trace, Thursday at Panther Stadium.
"We played a good game," Hillsboro coach Leslie Molen said. "We did what we needed to do to get the win."
The shutout win by HHS (8-3-1) gave HHS a 40-6 scoring advantage against its last seven opponents.
In its last two games, HHS has won by a combined 19-0, defeating McClain 8-0 on Tuesday at Richards Memorial Field.
HHS senior Lauren Colliver earned a hat-trick with three goals vs. Miami Trace, Thursday.
Two of her goals came in the second half. HHS freshman Madison Colliver scored two goals, as did HHS junior Leah Pence, both in the first half.
During the first half, three Lady Indians put the ball into the back of the net.

Nearly eight minutes later, Pence put her mark on the game, adding to Hillsboro's lead (2-0) with her second goal.
Lauren Colliver made it a 3-0 game, kicking the ball straight at the MT keeper. The ball hit the fingertips of the keeper, but the momentum from the kick sent the ball into the back of the net with 15:53 left in the half.
The final HHS goal of the first half came with 4:10 remaining from Taylor Davis, who was assisted by Lauren Colliver.
The second half was even better for HHS, increasing its lead by seven goals, while (at times) playing just nine players against 11.
Madison Colliver scored first in the final 40 minutes for the Lady Indians' fifth goal with 38:31 remaining.
Less than two minutes later, it was Lauren Colliver scoring for the second time (37:00).

Madison Colliver scored at the 33:38 mark, and Lauren Colliver scored with 21:56 left in the SCOL contest. Lauren's goal was assisted by Moberly.
After the four straight goals by the Collivers, Taylor Moberly, Haley McCoppin and Kayla Deatley joined in, scoing the final three HHS goals.
Moberly made the score a nine-goal difference with 19:18 remaining. McCoppin, who was assisted by Moberly, scored with 17:28 left.
