Indians JV golf improves to 5-4 overall

HILLSBORO — The Hillsboro JV boys golf team has won its last two matches with a 217-228 win over the London Red Raiders and 197-231 victory over the Miami Trace Panthers.

In their last three matches, the Indians are 2-1 with the loss coming to the Washington Blue Lions.

The HHS JV golf team is 5-4 overall with one match remaining against the McClain Tigers at Buckeye Hills next week.

"All the kids have been improving, and that is how we grade our season," HHS JV golf coach Terry McConnaughey said. "They main thing for us is how the kids improve, not the overall record. Honestly, I can say the kids have all improved since the start of the season."

Against the Blue Lions at the Washington Country Club, the Indians lost by a score of 197-220.

HHS was led by Spencer Michael with a 51, followed by Ty Crum and Cole Reveal with scores of 55. Blake Brown shot a 56, followed by David Williams at 59 and Paul Burton at 63.

Against the Red Raiders (HHS won 217-228) (at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course), Williams led with a low score of 53, followed with 54s from Michael and Reveal. Josh Rhoades totaled a 56, followed by a 63 from Crum and 73 by Ben Young.

On Thursday HHS defeated Miami Trace at the Washington County Club by a score of 197-231.
Crum was the low score at 47, followed by Brown at 48. Reveal shot a 50, followed by Williams at 52, Burton 53 and Michael at 54.[[In-content Ad]]
