Indians and Bearcats tune-up for regular season

HILLSBORO — The Hillsboro Indians hosted the Paint Valley Bearcats in the final scrimmage of the 2011 preseason at Richards Memorial Field, in Hillsboro on Friday evening at the annual Fish Fry event.

The Bearcats played 15 minute halves/quarters under actual game rules, except for punts and kickoffs.

Hillsboro freshman Logan Lesley had an interception in the first 15 minute half, returning in 40-plus yards for the first touchdown of the game.

The McClain Tigers also hosted a scrimmage at McClain Field Friday night.
