Hammond scores 20 in Rio Grande victory

McClain graduate Kate Hammond continues her collegiate career at Rio Grande with top performances in recent games.

On Nov, 15 Hammond scored 20 points in a 109-71 win against Wilberforce. Hammond was 7-of-7 from from the field with five (5-of-5) from the 3-point line. Hammond also grabbed five rebounds.

The Red Storm followed the win by splitting games against Roberts Wesleyan and Daemen College as they team traveled to Rocherster, N.Y.

Against Roberts Weselyan, the Red Storm won in overtime by a score of 78-71. Hammond finished the game with three points, making a 3-pointer.

In the 86-80 loss to Daemmen College, the Red Storm's first loss of the season, Hammond scored three points with a two-point basket and a free-throw.
