Fairfield Cross Country wins in Ripley

     The Fairfield Cross Country team traveled to Ripley High School for the Blue Jay Classic. The varsity Boys took home the team title with 41 points beating eight other teams, Saturday, Aug. 28.
     Michael Mangus, of Fairfield, was the overall boys varsity winner with a time of 17:50.
     Mangus was followed by Blake Hildebrant, fifth place; John Cain, 13th place; Wyatt Crothers, 19th place and Chaz Webb rounding out the team scoring at 24th place.
     Four of the scorers are freshman running their first high school race.
     In the girls varsity race, Heather Cox was the long high school varsity finisher, placing 16th.[[In-content Ad]]
