Colliver earns All-Tournament honors in Miami Shootout

OXFORD — Hillsboro graduate and current Miami University freshman Lauren Colliver recently earned All-Tournament honors in the Miami Shootout Tournament in Oxford.

Miami University is a Division I school. Colliver has started the last three games and played the full 90 minutes at center back.

Colliver, along with teammates Kayla Zakrzewski and Hailey Pleshakov were the three Lady RedHawks to earn such honors. Colliver made the all-tournament team due to her defensive play.

Miami University ranks third in the Mid-American Conference with a 0.99 goals-against average.

In Evansville, Ind. on Friday, Sept. 16 Colliver earned an assist in a 4-3 MU win over Evansville. The assist was her first collegiate point.

Through Sunday, Sept. 18, Miami University is 5-2-0 overall with MAC play starting Friday, Sept. 23 at Kent State with their match set for 4 p.m.

In her time at Hillsboro, Colliver was a captain her final three seasons, starting 75 straight games.  She holds school records for goals, assists and points and went 59-10-6 in four years at Hillsboro. She was a four-time All-SCOL selection and second-team All-Ohio in 2008.
