Bengals announce roster moves
The Cincinnati Bengals Tuesday signed DT Domenique Davis and LB Craig Young to the practice squad.
Davis (6-2, 330), a first-year player out of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, originally was a college free agent signee of the N.Y. Jets in 2020. He spent time on Cincinnati’s practice squad from the start of the 2022 season through the first six games of this season, then was released from the practice squad on Oct. 22. He signed on Nov. 5 to Pittsburgh’s practice squad, where he spent four games before being released on Dec. 6. Davis played in two games for the Bengals in 2022 and totaled three tackles.
Young (6-3, 225), a rookie out of the University of Kansas, was a college free agent signee of Indianapolis in May. He was waived by the Colts on final cuts and signed on Oct. 16 to Pittsburgh’s practice squad, where he spent three games. He was released from the Steelers’ practice squad on Nov. 5.
On Monday, the Bengals signed DE Isaiah Thomas off the practice squad to the active roster and waived QB Logan Woodside.
Thomas, a second-year player, spent the first six games of this season on Cincinnati’s practice squad before signing to Detroit’s active roster on Oct. 15. He signed back to the Bengals’ practice squad on Dec. 18, and was elevated to the active roster for Sunday’s game against Cleveland.
Woodside, a fifth-year player, spent the first 13 games of this season on Cincinnati’s practice squad, then had signed to the active roster on Dec. 14.
