The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Volleyball Team was selected and announced by College Sports Communicators (CSC) this week.

CSC, formerly CoSIDA or the College Sports Information Directors of America, has been selecting the Academic All-Americans since the 1952 football season. Athletic communications directors award the Academic All-District and select the Academic All-American selections.

Four women's volleyball players at Wilmington College were selected for the prestigious honor of Academic All-District, having met the requirements of an unrounded cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and either playing in 90 percent of matches, or 24 of 26 matches, or starting in 67 percent of matches or 18 of 26 matches. Institutions are capped at four Academic All-District Volleyball selections.

The student-athletes who have met the requirements are seniors Josie Crabtree, Andie Dolven, Corissa Oeder and Trinity VanDusen. The four recipients played in all 26 matches for the Quakers.

Crabtree is a Sport Management major from Corning and started in 25 matches.

Dolven is a Communication Arts – Digital Media Production and Sport Management major from Winter Garden, Fla. who started in all 26 matches as the setter. Dolven received this honor back in 2022.

Oeder is a Social Work major from Morrow who started in 20 matches, 16 at the libero position.

VanDusen is an Accounting, Business Administration-Finance and Sport Management major from Zanesville who started in two matches for the Quakers.

Congratulations to these four Quaker volleyball players for their extraordinary accomplishments on the field and in the classroom.
