Lady ’Cats take on Manchester and Eastern in recent games

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats hosted the Manchester Lady Greyhounds Tuesday and traveled to face the Eastern Lady Warriors in two recent games. 

On Tuesday, the Lady ’Cats lost by a 12-1 score to the visiting Manchester Lady Greyhounds, but the young Whiteoak team gained three hits, and their runs were scored in the bottom of the first and bottom of the seventh innings. 

Manchester scored two runs in the top of the first, followed with two runs in the second, and five runs in the fourth inning, plus three final runs in the fifth. MHS totaled 14 hits and no errors. WHS had three errors. 

Whiteoak saw Kiley Mitchell go 1-for-2 with a walk, Kyra Boyd finish 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Ivy Garrison go 1-for-1 with a walk. Jada Combs was hit by a pitch. Madison Davidson collected one run and was walked once, plus she had two steals. Mareah Wyatt forced a walk and had a steal. 

Boyd pitched five innings, finishing with eight strikeouts.

On Thursday, April 9, the Lady Wildcats lost to the Eastern Lady Warriors, 15-0 in a SHAC game at EHS. 

Whiteoak totaled three hits and had no errors, while EHS totaled nine hits and no errors. 

Whiteoak’s Madison Davidson was 1-for-3, Kyra Boyd was 1-for-1 with a walk, and Kylee Ruark went 1-for-2. Mareah Wyatt forced a walk for Whiteoak, and Kylee Mitchell had a steal. 

Boyd pitched one inning with two strikeouts, while Davidson pitched three innings in the start with four strikeouts.
