Clift K’s 14 batters; Wildcats gain SHAC win over Fayetteville

Gaining their first win of the 2026 season, the Whiteoak Wildcats defeated and shut out the visiting Fayetteville Rockets, 2-0 on Thursday evening, April 2. 

Whiteoak scored their two runs with one in the bottom of the first and the final one in the third inning. 

The Wildcats totaled four hits in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference victory, with Lucas Pollard finishing 1-for-3 with a run and a steal, and Christian Hite was 1-for-2 with an RBI. 

Jude Michael finished 1-for-3 with a steal, and Caden Butler also was 1-for-3 with a steal. 

Whiteoak also had Izayah Clift with a walk. Abe Flader scored a run and had two steals, Jonah Michael forced two walks, Karson Arey also forced one walk and Gabe Michael grabbed a steal. 

Clift was also the winning pitcher, going all seven innings on the mound with no runs allowed on four hits and two walks with 14 strikeouts. 

The win puts Whiteoak at 1-1 in the SHAC and 1-4 overall.
