Mustangs keep adding victories to ‘26 season total; wins against North Adams by 34 strokes

Another day at the golf course and another victory for the Lynchburg Clay Mustangs boys golf team, as they traveled to Hilltop Golf Course on Tuesday (Aug. 18) and defeated the North Adams Green Devils by 34 strokes.  

The Mustangs ended the day with a final score of 144 (five shots over par). 

LC’s Aiden Bene was the match medalist with an even par 35 for his final score between the two Southern Hills Athletic Conference schools. Bene is the fourth different LCHS golfer to earn medalist honors this season. 

Austin Manning set a new high school career personal best score with a round of 39 for the match at Hilltop. 

Nolan Wilkin shot a 36 in the 9-hole match, which was 1-over-par. Jackson West was 2-over-par with a score of 37.

Also shooting a 37 for the SHAC contest was Kristian Beachy, also 2-over-par. Teammate Carson Pfister finished the win with a score of 46.

The JV LCHS boys golf team was also in action against North Adams on Tuesday where they had a final team score of 234.

Scores for the Lynchburg-Clay JV team included: Jaden Pettit (56), Connor Case (58), Koen Collins (59), Aiden Lewis (61). Also on the JV team are Colton Warnock and Carter Warnock.
