Mustangs golf defeats West Union

The Lynchburg Clay Mustangs continued their success with another impressive victory in 2026, this time defeating Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponent West Union, 152-171.

The Mustangs had a strong team performance, but the match belonged to Kristian Beachy.

Beachy had the best round of his high school career, firing a 1-under-par 34 to earn medalist honors. 

Aiden Bene and Nolan Wilkin were next for LCHS, each with rounds of 39. Jackson West continued his consistent play with a score of 40. 

Carson Pfister fired a 41 and recorded a new high school personal best. Austin Manning rounded out the Mustang lineup with a score of 48.

Lynchburg Clay claimed five of the top six individual spots in the match against West Union.
