Lynchburg-Clay soccer teams both fall to Unioto
Monday evening (Aug. 24) both the girls and boys Lynchburg-Clay soccer teams lost on the road in Chillicothe against the host Unioto Shermans.
The LCHS girls team lost by a 3-1 score, and the LC Mustangs boys soccer team lost by a 4-0 score.
In the girls contest, Lynchburg-Clay’s goal was scored by junior Lily Ferguson.
Goals scored by Unioto were made by senior Elliana Myers with two, and junior Thalia Cruz had one. Assists were credited to junior Indie Lambert and junior Sophie Hanes. Unioto keeper junior Jilian Mathey finished with seven saves.
The Lady Mustangs now have an overall record of 0-2-1.
Next for the Lady Mustangs is a Southern Hills Athletic Conference game at North Adams on Wednesday, Aug. 26 against the North Adams Lady Green Devils at 6:30 p.m.
In the boys match against Unioto on Monday (Aug. 24), the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs lost by a 4-0 score at UHS. Unioto led 3-0 at halftime.
The LCHS boys team currently stands at 2-3-0 overall.
The next game for the Mustangs boys soccer team is a SHAC contest on Wednesday, Aug. 26 on the road against the North Adams Green Devils with a start time of 4:30 p.m.
