Lady Mustangs soccer drops 2 recent matches

Facing two non-conference opponents this past week, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs dropped those two non-conference soccer matches as they fell to the Clinton-Massie Lady Falcons and the Georgetown Lady G-Men.
On Thursday (Sept. 17), the Lady Mustangs lost by a 5-2 score to the host Lady Falcons at CMHS.
The two goals scored by Lynchburg-Clay were both made by junior Lily Ferguson. One of her two goals were assisted by senior Savannah Bell.
At goal for LCHS was sophomore Kendra Doss, who tallied 11 saves in the loss.
The Lady Mustangs played again on Saturday, Sept. 19 where they lost by a 4-1 score at LCHS.
LC’s lone goal was scored by Ferguson, an unassisted goal.
At goal for LCHS were sophomore Kendra Doss with three saves, and sophomore Scarlett McElwee also finished with three saves for Lynchburg-Clay.
Lynchburg-Clay is now 1-5-1 overall and 1-1-0 on the SHAC.
LC’s SHAC match scheduled for Monday (Sept. 21) was postponed against Fayetteville due to inclement weather and field conditions, as that game has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24 at FHS with a 4:30 start.
Next for the Lady Mustangs is a SHAC match against the Peebles Lady Indians at LCHS on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at LCHS.
