Lady Mustangs add non-conference win against Paint Valley

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs added a non-conference win to their overall total on Wednesday evening (Sept. 16) by defeating the host Paint Valley Lady Bearcats in three sets.

LCHS won the match by scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-10.

The Lady Mustangs had 29 kills in the win, along with 26 assists, 13 aces, 59 digs, and five blocks.

Senior Addy Carraher ended the contest with totals that included two kills, 23 assists, five aces, four digs and a block.

Junior Hydee Green totaled three kills, two aces, and a block for LCHS. Senior Halle Greene finished the match with nine kills, one assist, two aces, and 12 digs.

LCHS also had senior Kylie O’Connor finish with eight kills, one ace, and 11 kills. Junior Bre Rosselott collected six kills, one assist, three digs and three blocks.

Senior Melany Stephenson finished with one kill, three aces, and 23 digs. Freshman Becca McLaughlin had one assist. Senior Jules Vesey ended the non-conference contest with five digs. Senior Ashlynn Wilson had one dig for the Lady Mustangs in the victory.

The win puts LCHS at 8-1 overall and 4-0 in the SHAC.
