Mustangs boys golf leads after Day 1 of SHAC Tournament
The first match of the 2024 Southern Hills Athletic Conference Tournament for boys golf took place on Tuesday (Sept. 10), where the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs led after the event held at the Hillsboro Elks.
Match co-medalists were Lynchburg-Clay’s Saxen Wilkin and North Adams’ Connor Young with scores of 38.
Four golfers were tied for third place for Day 1, and they were Braedon West (LCHS - 39), Thomas Barnhart (Manchester - 39), Zach Shoemaker (West Union - 39) and Caleb DeAtley (North Adams - 39).
Lynchburg-Clay scores included: Saxen Wilkin (38), Braedon West (39), Aiden Bene (41), Jackson West (42) and Nolan Wilkin (47).
Fairfield scores included: Brody Fauber (43), Otis Cockerill (46), Caleb Barrera (49), Van Bennington (50) and Blaine Fauber (68).
Whiteoak scores included: Camron Storms (48), Zander Roades (48), Charlie Starks (50), Carson Hart (50) and Keian Moon-Stone (55).
Team scores included: Lynchburg-Clay in first place at 160, followed by West Union and North Adams tied for second place at 162. Next were Manchester (175) and Fairfield (188). The rest of the team scores were Eastern (190), Whiteoak (196), Peebles (197) and Ripley (219).
