Indians fall in FAC finale to Ironmen; Jackson clinches 2026 FAC championship

The Jackson Ironmen led from the end of the first inning until the final out was recorded on Wednesday evening in Frontier Athletic Conference play, as they defeated the Hillsboro Indians, 12-5 in Jackson.
The win by the Ironmen gives them the FAC championship with a 9-1 record in conference games this season. HHS finishes the FAC season at 3-7, as they are currently 9-11 overall.
Jackson scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning, then added two runs in the second and a run in third for a 8-0 lead.
The Indians came back with four runs in the top of the fifth, but JHS answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning. The bottom of the sixth saw two more runs cross the plate for the Ironmen, and in the top of the seventh, the Indians scored the final run of the game.
HHS totaled two hits and had four errors. Jackson finished with 11 hits and five errors.
Zack Brown was 1-for-3 with one RBI, two steals and a walk. Luke Holland ended the game at 1-for-4.
Walker Pence finished with two runs, a HBP, two steals, one RBI and a walk.
Jack Cornele had one run, a steal and one RBI. Carter Stingley walked twice. Brady Juillerat scored a run and walked once. Brody Kelch ended the day with a run and a walk.
Juillerat pitched 1.1 innings with two strikeouts. Brown pitched 4.1 innings with one strikeout, and Pence pitched 0.1 inning.
