Hillsboro Lady Indians take home 1-goal win over North Adams; Indians fall to NAHS

In a non-conference road trip to Seaman on Monday evening, the Hillsboro Lady Indians defeated the host North Adams Lady Green Devils by a 1-0 score, while the HHS boys soccer team lost their match against the Green Devils by a 6-2 score.
The Hillsboro girls soccer team had their game-winning goal scored by senior Arianna Evans off a direct kick from junior Piper Wilkin for the assist on Monday for the one-goal win.
The win improves the Lady Indians’ record to 3-1-0 overall.
Next for Hillsboro is a road contest on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

In the boys match — a 6-2 loss to North Adams — the Indians’ two goals were scored by junior Brandon Schellinger and junior Aiden Thomas. Assists went to freshman Judd Mckenzie and sophomore Mason Rinal.
At goal for HHS, sophomore Owen Davis was credited with 14 saves.
The loss moves the Hillsboro boys’ overall record to 1-2-1.
Next for the Indians is a road contest on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 4:30 p.m.
