Hillsboro to host inaugural girls wrestling invitational

The Hillsboro High School girls wrestling program will host its first-ever all-female wrestling tournament, the Hillsboro Veterans MS/HS Girls Wrestling Invitational, Sunday, Dec. 15 at Hillsboro High School.

The meet will include both high school and middle school events, starting at 10 a.m.

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Concessions will be available.

Individual/team and MVP awards will be presented.

“As female wrestling is one of the fastest-growing sports within the state, we hope to build upon the first invitational in the years to come,” head coach Bruce Messer said.
