2026 Baseball Preview: Hillsboro Indians

The Hillsboro Indians are back for another season of high school baseball where they are coming off an eight-win season, as this year’s roster consists of 13 players. 

The Indians — coached by Ben Miller — were 8-16 last season with a 2-8 record in the Frontier Athletic Conference. 

The roster for the Indians includes (listed by jersey number): Nate Lane (No. 1), Zack Brown (No. 2), Carter Stingley (No. 6), Luke Holland (No. 7), Brody Kelch (No. 11), Walker Pence (No. 15), Brayden Oberrecht (No. 19), Logan Barton (No. 21), Jack Cornele (No. 22), Brady Juillerat (No. 24), Charlie Starks, Mason Dumpert and Von Steward. 

The Indians’ non-conference schedule for the ’26 season consists of: vs. Waverly (VA Memorial), at Batavia, Wooden Bat Classic (two games), vs. Peebles, at Western Brown, at Blanchester, vs. Fairfield, vs. Wilmington, at Eastern, at Clinton-Massie, vs. Fayetteville, vs. Goshen and at Circleville. 

Hillsboro plays in the FAC where they will face McClain, Chillicothe, Washington, Jackson, and Miami Trace twice each. 

HHS was scheduled to open the 2026 season on Tuesday, March 31 at VA Memorial Stadium against the Waverly Tigers at 4:30 p.m. in Chillicothe.
